Hi! I’ve recently signed up to the Amex preferred rewards gold credit card to get the 25k bonus points when I’ve spent £3k on it in the first 3 months.
i subsequently read that the offer ends on the 14th October. It’s not clear, and I can’t find any info, on whether that means I need to physically spend £3k on it by then, or I just need to sign up by then and have the next 3 months to do it.
I was hoping to get the points by Christmas to help pay for the kids gifts!
Thank you to anyone who can advise?!

Sounds like you are talking about when the offer for someone to sign up for the promo ends, they will still get 3 months from when their account opens even if no one new can sign up to the offer.
It is a fairly perpetual offer though0 -
To confirm both the above - I have in the past signed up to Amex to take advantage of a limited time sign up bonus on the very last day the bonus was available, and yes I still had the full 3 months from the date of acceptance to complete the necessary spend.
Amex chat will confirm your actual deadline via chat if you need.0
