BG have sent me the 'exclusive offer' for fixed tariff v86 but the v94 offer looks cheaper to me on the cheap energy club....have they really sent me an 'exclusive' offer that is more expensive than v94 on the energy club?

V86 is:
Gas s/c 27.068 ppd. Unit rate 5.621
Elec s/c 39.908 ppd. Unit rate 25.025

V94 is;
Gas s/c  25.698 ppd. Unit rate 5.621
Elec s/c  39.908 ppd. Unit rate 24.652.

Also £20 cash back through mse energy club, am I missing something, or is v94 going to be cheaper?
Thanks.

v94 is cheaper, gas same unit rate with lower sc, electric same sc with lower unit rate.

As above , but is there a different time period eg 12 vs 24 mths, and are there exit fees?

I had already fixed with Eon starting 2nd October but when I looked on the cheap energy club Eon had recently issued a new tariff Which had a significantly lower SC for electricity and a slightly lower gas rate.  I emailed them and they were happy to change me as my new fix hadn't started.  So it's well worth keeping an eye on their offers if your fixing before the old fix runs out

Thanks everyone, yes,  both those are 14m fixes.
My current tariff is Fixed tariff 14m v1, which runs out on 6th October.
If I elect to switch tariff I don't know if they will swap me immediately or wait until my current tariff ends on 6th Oct?
Do you the answer to that?
British Gas make it incredibly had to find the answers to these key basic questions, its feels like they are trying to deceive and confuse me all the time, I find it all very stressful and feel that I am constantly being fleeced, my them offering me exclusive deals that would actually cost me more. It's disgraceful exploiting people like me.
So i think it does look like the v94 on our energy club is cheaper than the V96 they are offering me.

Sorry, last line should say v86 (not v96). Thanks.

Why not move to another provider?  Certainly Eon have been very fair with me and the new fix doesn't start until my current fix ends

Ring them up and ask is the best advice I can give (although be prepared for a long queue/wait!). I came across a similar problem last Monday with the "exclusive offer" they sent me but found a tariff with a cheaper SC on the website, however even though the tariff was still listed, it was no longer available from the 21st August (IIRC). I've encountered this problem in previous years where "expired" tariffs are still listed by them!
I ended up speaking to "Retentions" (make sure it's for Tariffs not Home servicing etc). They may find you a "better" deal than the "exclusive" offer. My change was implemented for the following day even though my current one didn't run out until the 18th. So they'll probably change yours for the following day if you accept whatever they offer.
