UK to Spain Money Transfer - HELP

Hi everyone  I have sent money from my UK bank account where I am a resident to a property developer in Spain. So far I have made 3 attempts to pay an initial deposit as Santander Spain keep on deducting a fee so I have to send attitional payments. if I use a Wise account can this fee be avoided?

I also have my own personal Santander account in Spain that I would like to send money to buy again I am concerned about these hidden fees so would appreciate help to understand if using Wise to make these transfers will avoid or minimise this as it's hard to know how much money to send to make sure that the full amount arrives with the recipient.

Exactly what method are you using to make the transfer?

If you send via Wise you can specify the exact amount in Euro that will arrive at the Spanish bank as Wise make the conversion before sending.

Santander Spain should not be deducting fees for what should appear as a local Euro credit in your account.

You'll have to ask Santander Spain for a definitive answer about charges.

I only use Wise to send to Thailand, they send THB and my Thai bank credits the whole amount.

Wise dont actually send the money per se, they use money already in Spain to pay and hence the builder shouldn't see any international credit fees. 

Whilst consumers in the UK are used to free banking for businesses in the UK and for all accounts in other countries fees are the norm so they will avoid the international aspect but may still have a small transaction fee
