Noise from toilet cistern after flushing

So a fairly new toilet was working fine until one day it started to make a noise.
It comes as the flush/water stops and before it fills up again.
I can only describe it like air getting in somewhere. A sort of rasp or sucking noise. Not loud, just not as it should be.
Any idea what it might be please?
I've just noticed the handle is loose, got play in it which makes the leaver on the left slightly loose.
If it's a screw or something I can adjust I'll give it a go.
Otherwise I'll have to bring forward a replacement of basin and taps so I can get a plumber in and I'd rather leave that a while.

It would help to hear the noise, but it sounds as though it could be the thin plastic diaphragm that's inside that big blue(?) syphon in the middle.
See the plastic rod that the handle pulls up on when turned? At the end of that, inside that blue unit, is a flat panel with this thin diaphragm on it - if it's torn, it could well rattle and rasp.
Do a YouTube on this part and hopefully it'll make sense.
How easy it is to replace will come down to the type of Syphon fitted - some will allow easy removal from above, but others will require the cistern to be removed first.
Flush the loo, and take some clear pics of that central unit, side-on as well, before it fills up!1 -
Thanks for your thoughts.
It did seem like it was coming from the blue bit. Annoying when it's so new but c'est la vie.
I couldn't see anything unusual when I flushed with the lid off.
I wouldn't know how to post a sound recording as I have no connection between phone and gadgets with net ability
I guess as I wanted some work done I can add it to the list.
By the time the plumber can come I'll have saved up some more anyway.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

It might not actually be a 'fault' - I just thought it could be, since you hadn't noticed it before. If you check out how these 'syphons' work, you'll see that when the cistern is emptied, air does get drawn in under that blue thingy, and a 'gurgling' is normal - this air is what 'breaks' the syphon and stops the flow.As long as it works, I'm sure you can live with it until new bathroom time1

Awe this is new bathroom 😟 waited 4yrs.
Not so much a gurgle as saying a brief eeeee in the back of your throat.
But the handle and washers with it are loose and wiggling which they shouldn't be. A quick fiddle didn't work.
Last house had a toilet from the 50s that only needed a washer once in 60yrs. Times change.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I'd ignore it and only worry about it if it stops working. I have the same type and the handle stopped retracting automatically when it's cold a couple of years ago, but it's still working fine to this day and no leaks into the toilet bowl. An old neighbour is a retired plumber and asked him to take a quick look one day when he came to see me for a coffee. He said mine would need the cistern removing to replace the siphon.1

If you can access the inline stop valve for the water supply try turning it off a little bit.
It may just cure your problem.

The handle should tighten by turning the white bit inside the cistern near the handle. Might need plumbers pliers.1
