I cannot see any reference on MCOL of the NOD, do I need to chase this / speak to local court / MCOL?

MCOL lost interest the day they transferred the case to your local civil court for processing, so will never receive updates
You could ask the court if the hearing has been vacated, but if you have received the NOD then its over with
