Money Moral Dilemma: Should I give back the 'accidental' refund for an item I wanted to return?

This has caused you hassle, leading you to this forum. I was in a similar situation, whereby I accepted a 75% refund for an item received unfit for use. I wanted a full refund and had exchanges including, “we are a small business, we cannot afford the return postage”. Due to my kindness, I accepted the 75%. It was better than nothing, however, in hindsight, I wish I’d held out for 100%.
My item was unfit to give it away.
Small business or not, unaffordable postage or not, many of us are not in a position to waste money in the current climate. Ultimately, the seller has created a problem for you by not providing the item you paid for in good faith. You were prepared to return the item. You agreed to a 25% refund, a ridiculous amount. They accidentally refunded you the amount in full - how many errors has this seller made? Through your own kindness, this has become your problem and not theirs. Enough is enough. The moral of the story is, do not sell to customers incorrectly and expect to continue taking advantage of your kindness. Keep the amount, you are entitled to it legally.

You made an agreement, after which you accepted 25% and keeping the stool. There is no “moral dilemma, if you have morals, return the 75% refunded to you in error.Mortgage free
