I listed an item, with my usual postage, but eBay has changed this to their Simple Delivery and the weight is too low.

To be honest Evri are fairly good at accepting slightly overweight marketplace items- I think ebay have managed their contract to allow for slippage.

Has the item sold? If not and you are worried you can update the size and weight.  However if ebay estimated the size and weight (I.e. you didn't override ebay's siggestion) they will absorb any additional cost. Just out of interest what price was the item and how long had it been listed? For quite some time any new parcel sized item under £750 has been only simple delivery.

Listed since May. £12.99 selling price

I have a similar problem but the other way round - my item is letter sized but if I revise it, eBay want to change it to Simple Delivery which has no option for letter size, just large letter size which will up postage by £1, meaning I would make a loss! Yes, they do allow you to opt out for most under £20 items, but not all - I know because I asked them. As usual Ebay are a pain the a** with all their changes!

I found with some of my listings that if i tried to revise the listing the optout wasn't there, but if I chose to create a similar listing it was. So I relisted some items and ended the original listing.
Thankfully all my items are now in categories which allow the optout.
