Toilet smell

I've scanned other posts but not found an answer. About 6 weeks ago my bathroom started smelling. The toilet is not blocked. I have used a drain snake to make sure. It's not loose, so no leaks.I have cleaned the sink P trap in the sink (taken it apart, and have done the same with the bath. All are used daily. The other bathrooms are fine. I'm running out of ideas?

When this happened recently in our bathroom it was a faulty air admittance valve.

We had a soil pipe behind a wall that wasn't robustly connected (not sealed/connected correctly) which caused the smell - this was only found when we had the bathroom ripped out and replaced.

I appreciate that's not an ideal scenario for you though.

Is it definitely a toilet/drains type smell?
Sometimes dead rodents can stink the place out.

Yes I had considered that but I can't find a carcass anywhere.

If it was the valve would it not affect the other bathrooms? They are all on the same soil atack

Do you have a wall hung toilet and have you seen any water on the floor?

We had to get a flexible pipe replaced as vermin had gnawed holes in it, causing small leaks/dripping after flushing... And an associated "aroma" in that bathroom

Not wall hung and no leaks on the floor. Slight almost sewage smell. Not horrific but also not particularly pleasant!

Do you have a extractor fan in that bathroom and if so can you check it is still extracting, if not could condensation be lingering and causing a mould that is as yet unseen.

You could also try squirting some bleach down the bath and sink overflows in case there is a build up of mould in either of them.

I had a similar problem earlier in the year but it was a problem during the heat.
I was using the bath and sink but not the toilet (I have another).
Tracked it down to possibly the soil stack if that's it's name that runs up the inside of the room and no visible exit. It's a bungalow.
I guess the pipes were drying out in the heat releasing the smell.
It went as soon as I started flushing that toilet.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
