Morning all and thanks for today's start @Gers. Such a lot of landslides - you must feel as if you're under siege!
Not too bad a day yesterday weather-wise, mainly dry and sunny and feeling quite mild during the day but definitely autumnal early mornings and late evenings. Another changeable day in store for today, sunny at the moment, rain from late afternoon and daytime temps holding up at around 20 deg.
All planned jobs got done yesterday after which I indulged in a session of online retail therapy. I've ordered some PJs but no luck yet with finding boots. Two pairs of trousers may also have fallen into the trolley. Our schools were officially back yesterday but I think the ones in my area are having training days and/or staggered starts depending on year group. I'll soon know when the parking wars start up again!
Today I have a choice of two places to visit - the PO to pay in a cheque or the weekly Co-op trip. Ideally, I'd like to do both but they're in opposite directions and I don't think I have the energy to tackle two trips in one day! Neither is urgent so I might just flip a coin.I've taken a chicken kiev out of the freezer for tonight's tea and will have that with side salad and Saturday's leftover bulgar wheat.
@Coxy - Glad you got your clean up done. Those Rug Doctor cleaners are marvellous and, as you say, well worth the hire charge.
@Chrisca and @remmie - Good luck with the hearing/optician appointments today, I hope you dodge the rain.
@Scarlet - Yes, I've thought about that too but, like you, have never tried. I think the only sure way might be to have them custom made! I may well be back on here having a rant when the new trousers arrive - watch this space!
@nanny - No, it's not just you! And it's not just when we go on holiday either. Think Christmas, New Year, Bank holidays etc .....
Oh dear, the weather forecast has just been updated and they've thrown thunder into today's mix.Time to make a move then. Have a good day whatever you may or may not be doing and take care. X
Be kind to others and to yourself too.7
