Millions of smartphones and tablets in the UK will ring out and vibrate for up to 10 seconds as part of an emergency alert test at 3pm on Sunday 7 September.

    Turned off, on Android Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings > Wireless emergency alerts.

    The linked article already says how to turn it off on both Android and iOS

    Still waiting for mine to go off from the last time. I did have alerts turned on, but still wasn’t alerted.

    As I don't live in an earthquake zone and unless the Red Air Force flies overhead, I won't bother.
  • My phone comes straight through to my hearing aids, if its very loud it could damage what hearing I do have ir even the aids. Looked for advice on this but cant find any information any where.
  • I have two SIMs in my phone. Will I get stereo?

    Check your settings, older Samsung Galaxy phone here and the alerts have enabled themselves.

    I know 100% that I disabled them when they were first introduced.
