Hi
Can anyone advise me on where to look for cheap accomodation for a couple, ideally self catering, in Costa Brava? The areas we are looking at are Roses, Figueres, L'escala, Cadques. We will be hiring a car so it can be a bit out of the way.
I have searched the forum and followed any links for apartments but they all seem very expensive, and for lots of people!
We don't really want to spend any more than £200 for a week, and don't mind how basic it is. Main requirement is a fridge so we can make sandwiches for lunch! Will eat out most nights so cooker etc not essential.
Any advice much appreciated.

You can book a 1 bedroomed apartment in various places such as Blanes Lloret Estartit for a round £110 in June Travel Republic or Alpharooms0

Hi, we stayed in Tossa de Mar last summer which is a beautiful town with narrow winding streets and a beautiful castle. It's very spanish and free from 'louts'! It's about 45 mins drive from Gerona airport..
We stayed at Golden Hotel Bahia de tossa and spa, which was really really nice. Has an indoor heated pool, gym and sauna, was on a half board basis and the food was to die for -I'd definately go there again. We booked through Thomson hotels but it is possible to book direct through the Golden hotels website.
Definately worth pricing up..0 -
Have you tried MedHotels? they have lots of different hotels at various budgets. Also worth having a look on TripAdvisor.com0
