Yeah but if you'd contacted them previously to say you wanted a blue widget and they said "What's a widget?", would you describe to them what you wanted in the hope they'd supply the correct thing, or would you just go to someone who did know what a widget was?
If I order a blue widget online and get an email saying green widget I don't think I should be the one spotting that...Boohoo said:
If the OP got the last email from the firm without the word "hit and miss" and then went ahead and paid for the order I think the OP should of picked up on this before paying and not expect the company to take the hit
Normally I'd agree with you that a consumer ought to be able to rely on a trader's skill and their knowledge of the products they sell, but the OP seems to have been put on notice here that the trader isn't very knowledgeable

... If @CookieSwirl can confirm the exact step by step process that occurred (discussion > order form > payment but in what order) that would probably be helpful.
