Very early good morning to you all.
I am a bit bleary eyed I went to bed around 7 and I did not sleep at all just tossed and turned till the alarm went off, it’s going to be a long day of travelling but it will be worth it once we get there.
We are away for 16 days so see you when we get back, try and keep the place tidy 😬
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning, thanks for starting Ruby - have a wonderful holiday!
It's fine here. We had some rain yesterday but nothing significant. We went to Metrocentre, I tried jeans on in M&S but they didn't have the denim colour that I wanted in my size. I can order online though. There's such a bewildering array of styles and cuts in jeans these days. ( I sound like a right old codger, well, I am one!),
Not a lot going on on today, just busy about the house. I'll have to finish the Book Club book as well before tomorrow morning.
Hope everyone's ok, thoughts to those who aren't well, take care folks.13 -
Morning all
Sorry, haven’t posted for a few days, felt down in the dumps and nothing interesting to say.
Anyway, off to Yorkshire for a couple of weeks - hoping a change of scenery and some Dales air (and rain 🙄) will help.I’ll read along and in the meantime best wishes and stay safe to everyone

Good morning, happy holidays Redruby and Allie, hope the change of scenery works.
A bright start here, yesterday we had the promised showers all afternoon and evening
Nothing much happening, will cook a roast later in the air fryer, which I'm now getting the hang of.
Izzy, you are so kind, it will mean so much to that gentleman.
Have a good day all whatever you're doing, take care.

Morning all - I'm too late to wish @Ruby a happy holiday - happy roving @AA, the outdoors and weather can work wonders. @TA is off today too, @DP1 is already away and @Taff is elsewhere. We are seriously depleted, (I've probably missed out some of the missing) I shall savour the postings of those who are not away. What a great act of kindness @Izzy.What did I do yesterday? I went down the our lovely pharmacy to restart the meds order I'd put on hold two months ago. Because of the staggered scripts I had accumulated too much of two of the tablets so I worked with the surgery pharmacist and the town one to align them properly. It's so much easier having them all on the same repeat time and they come out automatically now. Happy job. Then I drove up to the soon-to-be-closing wee cafe for a wholly unnecessary takeaway coffee and a delicious cinnamon bun. The happy bit is that my coffee was free with the final stamp on the card.
On the way home I emptied the recycling bag into the big dumpster, after that my day went very quiet.
The expected rain arrived though not in the torrents forecasted. It was much more a gentle piddling down than anything else. Persistent piddling, but gentle.I watched two episodes of Bookish and then listened to some of my audio book. It's a Lynda La Plante one, The Scene of the Crime - a bit too plodding with in-depth explanations of forensic science despite being a wok of fiction. the narrator is rather slow and monotone too so I'm not enjoying it too much but I'll persevere as the bits with the 'baddies' is more lively. For now I'm enjoying my first coffee listening to the madness of Radcliffe and Maconie, I'll read my online papers soon. Then, I shall wait until inspiration hits me as it surely will. I hope that everyone is doing well, hugs all round.12 -
Morning All
I expect you're well on your way Ruby, have a fab time.
Same to you Allie, a change of scenery can work wonders.
It's very windy out this morning but dry for now. So far I've done the ironing, prepped some courgettes and tomatoes for the freezer and picked some chillies, cucumber and an aubergine from the greenhouse - can you tell I woke up early!
Managed to get the washing mostly dry yesterday before torrential rain arrived. I made some plum and apple jam as there are still loads of plums and windfall apples at the allotment.
Must get fuel and do some shopping today, also want to dig up some potatoes from allotment 2 for DD, hope I can get there before the rain arrives again.
Hope you can get the jeans you want Scarlet.
Have a happy and peaceful Sunday, take care. XX10 -

Morning folks. A lovely start but will it last?! We finally got some heavier rain last evening unlike the feeble attempts we have had recently.
All packed and ready to go once DS has cashed up at the cricket club and brought all the recycling back for my bin!
Fridge stuff packed, freezer stuff packed, clothes packed and a boxful of a lucky dip assortment of stuff not needed in either bag! Youngest DGD to pick up on our way for her brief stay. I am not kidding myself that she is coming to keep me company, she'll be off socialising with her friends who are still in residence at the site, just coming back at meal times! Unless I lose signal again whilst there I'll keep abreast of what you are all up to on my phone and maybe manage a few sausage finger posts.
Happy holiday to all galivanting and ALLIE if I see you passing through Nidderdale on your travels I'll give you a wave! Have a good day all, take care xx
