Noticed in Lidl today motion sensing LED bulbs 3 for £6, Must be better than battery ones.   Or maybe the plug in ones that double as emergency power cut lights

Lights can add up if they bright one's.  Thats 3 of my 4 of my LED bulbs on at once is 36 watts (only 3 of them, yes LED can use that much quite easily).
36x24 hours of careless use thinking its free is 864 watts, at lets say 28p per KwH, thats about 24p per day or about £7.25 a month, seen someone on social media claim its about 4p a month (per bulb).

Although more realistically not all lights will be on around the clock, and I do have 2 very powerful LED bulbs my LL fitted, which I cant really replace due to how difficult it is and risk of damage.  My experience is though the actual usage as recorded by meter is about 20-30% higher than what the bulb is rated at.  So e.g. my 8 watt bulb uses about 10.5 watts.

Thanks for both guys, I did the home test, the cost was the DD not what she was using. I've since did the home test they suggested and we have found an issue with something left behind from E7 heating, so we're now waiting for help once all removed to see how the bills 'should have been' to get adjusted. Its a shame that as my mother is 76 she could not have done this herself, so this is testament that there's no help for those that cannot to sort bills with suppliers!

Does your mother lack capacity and do you have lasting power of attorney in place?
