Amazon 30-day return cut off date

Hi,
I seem to remember reading that for Amazon's 30-day return policy the cut off date is for when the item is collected, not when its delivered.
Does anyone know if that's correct?
Thanks.

Amazon.co.uk, and many Sellers on Amazon.co.uk, offer returns for most items within 30 days of receipt of delivery.

Thanks for the reply but I'd already looked through that page which is pure information overload, or at least it is for me.
Unless I can't see for looking (which is quite likely with my age and eyesight), I can't find the answer to my question.
For the 30-day return policy from date of receipt, I believe the cut off date is the day of collection, not when Amazon actually receive it?

I think you are confusing me.
Are you referring to a collection of an item delivered - for example- to an Amazon Locker, or are you referring to a collection by a courier/Postie when you have actually returned a parcel?
To be clearer (perhaps) do you mean collection by you or from you?

That is my understanding. Obviously in a dispute you may need evidence of when it left your hands.

I usually use the RM pick up service for return to Amazon, who normally refund me a few minutes after it’s been picked up.

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

The same happens with dropping a package at the Post Office (scanned in) or other couriers picking up.

AFAIK so long as you have initiated the return before the 30th day after receipt (handed it over or made it available to be collected) amazon will honour it
