Home responsibilities protection

I have sent a form signed and filled in for asking some money back for the home responsibilities protection . I live in France now . How do I know I am entitled ? And will I get some answer from HMRC ? Thank you

If you have sent a form off then HMRC will reply eventually, they are taking many months to reply.
Why do you think you are entitled to anything ?  Which years were you claiming child benefit ?  Are there corresponding gaps in your NI record for those years ?  Did you claim the married women's "small stamp" reduced NI rate ? When did you / do you reach state retirement ?  How much is your state pension entitlement at the moment ?

Have you actually worked out if those years will actually add to your pension ?  There are many that have retired right up until this year with 40+ full years that cannot receive the full pension so it is not a given that those years will add value.  With some more information we can work out if there is any value in pursuing this.
    Current weekly £££.pp amount.
Number of full NI years 15-16 and earlier
Number of full NI years 16-17 and later
Tax year you reached state retirement
Were you in a contracted-out pension scheme which would include NHS, local government, civil service, armed forces, police etc

What do you mean 15-16 and earlier ? I was not in a contracted- out pension scheme . I will check my current weekly amount plus the tax year of my state retirement  -

For the years you are claiming HRP  reduces the number of  qualifying  years you need to get the full state pension.

My weekly pension amount is 144.73 , and the full NI years prior year 20016 are 7 years . All the others are part time .
