I used the Cheap Energy Club to find a new energy provider and Outfox Energy came out top.  When I went on their website to request a quote, it asked for my gas meter serial number and when I put it in, it said I needed to phone to complete the quote.  I have tried to call several times and each time, there are about 18 people ahead of me in the queue so I hung up after about 30 minutes.

I then sent them an email explaining my issue and got this response
I'm terribly sorry to hear you have experienced such issues. Due to the nature of your problem, we will need to check the national database to verify the status of your property. I would recommend that you call us directly for further assistance on your issue.  Please dial 0800 109 2702 for more. 

Is anyone else having issues with contacting them?  If it making me reconsider using them.

Given the recent news on the cap rising i imagine most vendors offering competitive fixes will be busier than normal.

I’ve seen bad reviews on their customer service. The cheaper providers cut costs in vital areas of their business to undercut more reputable companies like Octopus .
