Hi all,

I have now received an email with the following:

Having reviewed the content of your defence, we write to inform you that our
client intends to proceed with the claim. In due course, the Court will direct both parties to each file a directions
questionnaire. In preparation for that, please find attached a copy of the
Claimant's, which we confirm has been filed with the Court. Without Prejudice to the above, in order to assist the Court in achieving
its overriding objective, our client may be prepared to settle this case - in
the event you wish to discuss settlement, please call us on 02xx xxx xxxx
within 7 days and make immediate reference to this correspondence. If you have provided an email address within your Defence, we intend to use
it for service of documents (usually in PDF format) hereon in pursuant to PD 6A
(4.1)(2)(c). Please advise whether there are any limitations to this (for
example, the format in which documents are to be sent and the maximum size of
attachments that may be received). Unless you advise otherwise, we will assume
not.
Good Morning

Is this where I could contact them and negotiate to pay something like £5 to settle this? Or should I just let it run?

Thanks

cc. @Coupon-mad

Why aren't you following the 8 steps?

They are partly there to stop us being asked about this stage! And partly to make you prepared and confident. We don't need to advise anyone about this or Mediation.

Thank you so much, and apologies if I’m repeating any questions that have already been covered — I’m just a little unsure about exactly where I am in the process.

Just to confirm, the email I received corresponds to step 2, and now I simply need to wait for my own Directions Questionnaire from the CNBC, then complete it and email it back to them — is that correct?

Thanks again for your patience and help, I really appreciate it.

Not quite

You wait until your MCOL claim history says that it's been posted

Download the N180 DQ pdf document from the government website

Fill it in and email it as an attachment to the DQ email address and ALSO copy in the lawyers acting for the claimant, so in your case use the info@ dcb legal email address

One email, one completed N180 pdf attachment, 2 destinations
