What about monitoring your AVC then, when you are about to hit the limit, cease your contributions and put the equivalent money into your SIPP instead?

Excellent suggestion, as always, from Silvertabby.

This is what I do, i.e. I forecast what my AVC could grow to when I reach age 65 (from my monthly contributions plus investment growth) and if/when it looks like I will hit my TFLS I will put the equivalent amount into a SIPP.
