Where pragmatism comes in is that you are only entitled to a replacement of your dead two year old battery with a functioning two year old battery (or equivalent value), plus installation, if you can show that the battery failed prematurely as a consequence of an inherent problem and not through misuse.
The installer can insist you get an independent inspection done (at your cost, but it should be refunded by the installer if they accept the failure was premature or a court decides the same thing) or they may accept the verdict you already have. They'll then either source a replacement battery from the manufacturer (if you're lucky), find a two year old battery for you, or give you a depreciated contribution to a new battery which you'd then buy and they'd fit. You could use court action to enforce all of this if needs be.
Assuming the manufacturer is adhering to the terms of their warranty, you don't have any viable option to pursue them. You can sue anyone at any time, but if they've done nothing wrong you'll be throwing money away.
Meanwhile, all the time this is going on you're missing out on free energy and the certainty of a new battery that could be fitted now for £150.
