I usually purchase my glasses from whatever opticians I have my eyes tested at, but I had a bit of a shock when they quoted me £169+ per pair after they had taken my NHS vouchers off (im on pension credit) . I said I would have to save up for them, but after looking online, I found I could get them a lot cheaper elsewhere. After go[ng to another opticians I was told that I must have the codes from my NHS vouchers, but that I needed to get them from the optometrist who did my sight test. This is apparently a new thing, but if anyone else gets NHS vouchers towards their glasses you have to ask for them if you want to purchase your glasses elsewhere.. Hope this helps someone. Sorry if I've posted it in the wrong place.6
