Serious Thanks Mbna!

Firms like this get bad press sometimes, but I just want to say MBNA have been BRILLIANT :T on two occasions recently. First I got stuffed by a US phone co. who charged me £130 for two 20 minute calls to the UK, then, and more seriously, I stupidly let one of these time share companies who trap you into giving your details, because you have WON a free holiday. MBNA gave really good advice, phoned the States, witnessed the calls and everything. If I had tried to do it, I know that cancelling would have been almost impossible because no numbers are published etc. It cost me £10 in registered airmail letters and faxes to make sure nothing could be in doubt, but it was a great deal better than the £530 I was charged for a few nights accomodation and entry to a theme park. I was STUPID - the moral - politely say NO THANK YOU!

    Hi Nic,

I have read your post a few times and it is not clear on certain things. When you say that you got charged £130 for calls to the UK who was it who charged that much and what did MBNA do to regarding the charge? Did they help you get the money back? And what happened with the timeshare? Were you charged for something and did MBNA help you get the money back on that?
