£800 monthly is from my father.
I'm currently going through a WCA to see if I can get onto LWRCA to get extra support.
I'm also in the process of a reassessment for my pip that started in 2022.0 -
Living rurally and needing a car doesn't mean you need one worth £10k. I would be selling that car and spending time looking for one with a good history for around £2k. That would allow you to pay off some debt and also immediately free up the money you're paying monthly for the PCP.
Also, it won't save you masses, but you can get a Giffgaff sim for £10 to save on your current mobile monthly cost, and BT do a £15pm deal for broadband if you're on low income.
Sorry for asking also, but what is the £130 medical costs for? Are you aware of the monthly payment scheme for prescriptions if you regularly need more than 3 a month?0 -

So I have looked at this car route, but the issue I'm facing is the part exchange is valued lower than the settlement figure to pay the finance off, and I don't have the money to cover the difference. It's around £2k difference.
The medical prescription is for medical cannabis to help with my health issues. Unfortunately I cannot get it on the NHS due to politics which I will not get into.0 -
Hmm, I'm not clued up on PCP sorry, but are you allowed to sell privately and pay off the settlement figure that way? I guess that would then flag as a car being sold with finance on it so perhaps that's a no go too.
Either way, unless you can put aside the money for the balloon payment by next year, you're going to end up in the same situation then of having to hand the car back but then needing to pay out c£2k for a new car.0 -

OK So the value of your car will prevent you from doing a DRO.
