Apart from charity shops which I've used for my place we have a furniture store charity where people on benefits get a cheaper price than the rest.
You should be able to get a bed from charity shops. They are particular that they are spotless and fireproof.
Some recycling centres have a shop.
Table and chairs doubles as a desk. I got an expanding table so small for daily use and some length for sewing, craft filing etc.
Look for things that do more than one job.
Ie bed with drawers under. Table and desk combo. Bookshelf with moveable shelves you can put the TV, rado on with files and books underneath.
Fridge and something to cook on and bed are the only real essentials.
Bedding and curtains from charity shops.
Use a launderette.
I ate the first week in Morrisons, £5 meals for the first week while I sorted out the cooking.
And don't forget tinned meals. They tend to be better than cheap frozen for speed when you're tired.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

Look online for a fridge, oven etc . Often you can get 0% or the option to pay in instalments, and suchlike. Facebook marketplace is useful for finding stuff too. I bought an “ as new” electric fire and surround for &80 last year. Price online was over £300.
Car boot sales are often a good source of crockery, decor items, cutlery, curtains, small furniture items, and so on.
When i bought my first flat, i stuck a little red sticker on all the items that were intended to be merely temporary, then amused myself by systematically replacing red-stickered items as i acquired better versions.0 -
Freecycle/ facebook for desk/ table/ chairs/ TV bench, etc
microwave + air fryer + portable induction hob. Have a look at facebook marketplace and see used suitable
I personally don't have washer dryer, but washing machine + dehumidifier.
under counter fridge/ freezer possibly could find if there are any used available, but if you getting full size, it would be best to get new one.
Metal bed frame from amazon is something like £60 - 70, personally won't skip that...
Sofa could be put on hold until you have more cash/ wait until X'mas sale.
How good is your credit rating? 0% purchase credit card could be an option.0 -
Would focus on charity shops for everything. Its function over form at this point-- how well it does the job rather than what it looks like. Have bought many things from charity shops, still do. It's not frugal it's tactical.
Would suggest watching some Micro camper videos online. There may be some tips and suggestions that may work regarding storage and workspace.
Cooking would go for air fryer, microwave and a slow cooker.
The last is useful if you want to batch cook a chilli or curry and eat it over two nights.

I'm a big fan of my Samsung combination microwave oven - cooks with heat or microwaves or a combination of the two and I have a double air fryer. I've not used my main oven in 8 years!
Good luck by the way!0 -
Once you have white goods (fridge, microwave or hob / oven, probably washing machine), and something to cook and eat with, for furniture a friend once said to me that all I needed was something to sit on while watching TV and something to sleep on, at least to start with.
You can always choose to obtain some stuff in phases.0 -
I'm still using some of the stuff I bought from charity shops when set up my first home over 30 years ago. Mainly kitchen utensils and mixing bowls.2

If you want a free mattress delivered to your house rent a skip and you should have a selection of them in there by the morning.1

I'd prioritise a decent mattress, a microwave and fridge freezer, (Freecycle/gumtree) and cutlery and a bowl and plate.
Tip the mattress on it's side to air the underneath until you get a bed base.
Then other things as you find the need growing.
