Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
Beautiful morning, the sun is about to shine and the sky is free of cloud although there's been a heavy dew. Looking forward to a nice sunny day.
Once the boiler chap had been I took a pile of garden rubbish to the tip and came home with a bike for the little one! It's probably a bit big at the moment and needs the front brake looking at and probably has punctures but apart from that looks like it has hardly been used. Must take the chaps at the tip some goodies on my way home.
Shopping done and then an afternoon of sloth, I was just dozing on the sofa and friends visited, good to catch up.
What a view Coxy, enjoy your holiday.
Hope everyone is well and you all have a good day. Take care. XX9 -
Morning again, it's a fine one here.
That was a worthwhile trip to the tip, Camelot!
Mehefin, your waistcoat looks fabulous!
Enjoy your holiday Coxy, lovely photos.
Nanny, I think my trolley will be a Dolly rather than a Wally. I felt a bit self
conscious when I went out the other day with it, but plenty of people have them, and they're an arm and shoulder saver!
Snoozer, it'll be a big change for you, hope you soon settle into it.
Enjoy your hols Ruby ( also anyone else who is on holiday)
We had a visit from ds and dil yesterday. I'd altered a top for dil and she came to try it on, fortunately it was ok. She left a pair of trousers for repair but it's a straightforward seam repair so easy to do. It was great to see them.
Nothing much happening today apart from the usual jobs. Glad your dgd is out of hospital TA, hope she makes a good recovery.
Thoughts to the sad and poorly people, and good wishes to the holidaymakers.
Take care folks.

Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.Fabulous photo @Coxy, lovely place to be. Missed the wonderful waistcoat photo @Mehefin, went back to look, it too is fabulous. Well done @Camelot, a good MSE moment. When I got to the dump yesterday the place was heaving. It opens at 11.a.m. at weekends so there's always a queue. The chap there was directing traffic
- grass cuttings disposed of as well as the black bag. On the way home I stopped to buy an unnecessary takeaway coffee in town. The tiny place is run by Ukrainian refugees, they work really hard and are open seven days. I like to support them even in a small way.
Other than that my day was quiet, fiddly tasks were tackled and chicken breasts sorted for the next few days. This morning I'm off to the exercise class and taking the recycling bag with me to empty.I'm sorry that you're feeling so bad @Snoozer, it must be really weird going from six people to two. Hugs. Now, I hope that everyone is feeling better, or at least not worse. Hugs all round.10 -
Hi all
Hope everyone with a Bank Holiday enjoys their extra day.
Supposed to be the last hot day here - this month’s meal is Caribbean so jerk marinade made and chicken will be BBQd later. It’s the annual village fayre and vintage steam rally but if it’s going to be hot I will give it a miss - too many people for me and Bdog. I have some sewing to do which may be the afternoon”s activities after some watering and gardening.Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning 😊
Happy bank holiday Monday.
I have been busy this morning. We didn’t get to have a roast dinner yesterday, so I’m doing it today. Pork, or vegan alternative, roast and mash potatoes, broccoli, corn cobs, carrots, stuffing, and Yorkshires. I might give the vegan Yorkshires another go, but I can’t seem to get those right.
I also took some apples off the tree. We have a glut of them this year, and I’m going to stew the ones I’ve picked, then make a couple of crumbles.
Other than that, it’s the usual chores.
Stunning photo @Coxy11 Have a wonderful holiday.
Hope you all have a good day 😊6 -

Morning all.
The sun's shining here and I think it might get a bit hot. DH is Morris dancing at a Farm Museum today so the family are meeting up there for a couple of hours. It's a bit of a sun trap so I don't envy him dancing. I'll be sitting there with a bacon roll!
Shortbread made yesterday plus we cooked the plum crumble made earlier in the week. I'd added ground almonds to the crumble mix, which made it softer. There's some crumble mix left so have bagged it up and put it in the freezer for another day.
Enjoy the sunshine if you have it today.5 -
Morning all, I got all the washing dried yesterday and put away.
Today the sun is out and the DGC are coming as DD and SiL are doing a craft fayre so I'll probably be in the kitchen most of the time feeding the troops. Mr Fix It somehow has hurt his back so is hobbling in pain, I've given him some pain killers which should kick in soon. DGS has offered to mow our lawns and DGD wants to clean the inside of the car, they'll do anything for copious amounts of food and snacks ........plus some extra money, we've trained them well 🤣
Right I'd better get dressed as they'll be here soon, they are old enough now that they can walk here from their home 😲
Snoozer many hugs, it must feel so weird having a such quiet house.
Coxy lovely pic.
Mehefin exquisite waistcoat.
Have a good day all.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently4 -
Morning allNothing going on here today. Will enjoy one of the last warm days of summer in the garden methinks.Knocked the shredder over in the spare room this morning shredded paper everywhere, good excuse to empty it I suppose with it being rubbish collection day! Watered the garden and filled up the bird baths. Tidied the kitchen and that was about it until coffee called.Have a good day all x5

Morning everyone
I'm looking forward to a day of sunshine today...I've still got some weeds to sort in the back garden but other than that it will be a lazy one. I have a little bit of ironing to do this morning and now have clothes next to my case waiting to go in so progress has been made. I'm just there from tomorrow night till Sunday morning so I don't need too much, I will need to take a jacket though as the weather looks quite changeable.
That's a lovely view to wake up to Coxy
Well done getting the bike Camelot, I bought one for little one very cheaply from Ebay...over the summer she's loved riding it.
Best move - I hope everyone has a good day x5
