Riding yesterday was so so lovely - it’s 100% the best thing for my mental health. I went to bed so happy and grateful for my little life in the countryside.

Then - felt tired and demotivated today. The cycle continues.

Not a NSD, finished my partners birthday shopping - all out his pot! Also ordered new toothpaste for the dog lol - cheaper than a vets dental down the line though he is a little !!!!!! when i try and brush them everyday! Also spent £2 on a lottery spin - my guilty pleasure atm clearly.

Got my barclaycard statement today, its not a priority card as on 0 percent until 2027 but since i have transferred a bit over to it on a balance transfer this month Octobers minimum payment is £370! I think this is really high for a minimum and i do tend to find this with barclaycard. I mean it’s great that my balance will reduce faster but not great for my monthly budget.

I have 66! Hours overtime due to be paid to me at the end of September, I’m sure it will disappear fast and get taxed a lot but still hoping this helps my budget in October as i have absolutely grafted for it.

Had a stress cry today over finances and the enormity of the hole i need to dig myself out of but all par for the course i guess. Got myself together and walked to the village post office to send off two more vinted parcels (£12.50 pending to send to my debt overpayment pot).

Thats all in MSE news today, trying to take each day as it comes and not wish my life away.

You've made me think I should open up another pot for glasses. Sure I probably need new ones.

If you are going to read my diary, you might want to settle in with a big cuppa and snacks 😂
Glad to have been of some help haha! Glasses are stupidly expensive these days.

Definitely a good idea to have a pot for spectacle renewal every couple of years! I find the frames can be relatively inexpensive but the lenses eek! I recently bought a new pair. The frames were £79 but the lenses £250! I have a pot for glasses and add I think £25 a month to it. Gives me a healthy £500 every 2 years. I also look for the buy one pair get one pair  free or half price deals when buying. Fortunately my eyes tests are free every couple of years in June when and I buy new spectacles at the same time.

I have a dental and glasses pot that I pop £30 in a month. We don't have *any* NHS dental provision in my town so this also covers the cheapest private checkup and any treatment I may need (touch wood). The cats' flea and worm also comes out of this pot now as I was running something like 20 virtual pots and had to consolidate as the spreadsheet was a bit mad!

I get my high index varifocals from Asda. This year I paid £160 for 2 pairs of designer frames including lenses. You can get them from £120 for two pairs.
