So forgot to mention, yesterday was a NSD but today was not. £5 spent on parking at work and a beginning of the month treat coffee (£5.55) on the way in to work. Wont be making a habit of this but it was lovely.
Two NSDs planned now until Friday when I’m going to fill up on fuel

Busy day today already in bed exhausted. Not a no spend day today as I’d planned, bought my partner a birthday present out of his pot money but also caved and got myself an overpriced coffee (PSL season) at the same time - need to stop this habit! I was exhausted from the day and the drive to the shopping centre at rush hour (have i mentioned there is nothing near us) but still. Luckily we’ve got our machine at home working again so home coffees in a mug when I’m going anywhere from now on. In other MSE news i posted two vinted parcels today and have a pending balance of £30 - will try and list a few more things tomorrow. I have also signed up to a mystery shopper app (smartspotter) which looks interesting. Will likely only be able to do tasks when i go to our nearest town once a week or when I’m visiting the work office as we are quite rural but worth a try to earn a bit of extra cash.
Tomorrow im wfh but i have a 6.30am gym class, two horses to muck out before work, walk the dog on lunch break and then exercising a friend’s horse after work - no rest for the wicked!

Unsurprisingly exhausted after today
but all self inflicted and my ride on my friend’s horse this evening was bloody lovely. A successful NSD and listed two items on vinted which sold so thats another £12.50 made

Rubbish day today, exhausted. Worked from the couch, cried a lot. But a NSD despite temptation to order a takeaway and tomorrow is a new day.2

So after posting that yesterday was a NSD i went and spent 10 on online lottery games. Obviously didn’t win anything. Well i did but then used it all to keep playing so still 10 pounds down.Today actually has been a NSD which is a plus and i did 8 hours overtime. Not much else other than walking the dog. Still bone tired and teary, the thing with having a chronic illness is when i feel good i massively overdo it and try to do everything and then i crash like this.

Hi 👋
Welcome to diaryland.
I was like you, didn't want to do a dmp but all my cc debt was interest bearing and I was paying minimums and receiving persistent debt letters. Eventually I managed to get it all into 0%. I found by overpaying them all by even a couple of pounds a month helped.
I'm also a Monzo cheerleader. I love the pots and it really helped organise my budget. Zero based budgeting didn't work for me as there was always an unexpected spend somewhere. (Coffee usually) invested in a tassimo machine and now take my own latte with me.
I have taken the scenic route compared to many others debt busting but as long as the figures are going in the right direction then I'm happy.
Keep up the good work. It gets easier.

NSD day yesterday (Sunday), 8 hours overtime worked - feel like a broken record!
Also in other MSE news we made some blackberry jam with foraged blackberries which was actually very satisfying. All jarred and absolutely delicious! Had the sugar in and always keep used jars so no cost, it made a HUGE jar for us which is now in the fridge. The other half i may make a jar for friends or i may freeze.
Helping my friend out with their horses today which i really enjoy , i miss mine being stabled but her living out in my friends field is all i can afford atm. Counting down the days until i can have her back on livery by us and get back into properly riding her.
Thankyou for your comments @Naomim I will check out your diary!
I try to run a zero based budget on the caveat that i have a ‘buffer’ savings pot on Monzo which i try to keep 30-50 pounds in for those unexpected expenses which don’t fall into one of my other pot categories. Today that got emptied as i had a not budgeted for an eye test :-( . Lesson learnt and eye test and new glasses savings pot opened.
I also spent £29 pounds in boots on face spf and moisturiser as mine have ran out - this all always happens at once.
I’m also out of mascara but as I’m largely wfh or outside with animals, i am going to wait on this purchase. I don’t buy luxury products but even a basic face spf these days is £12! It’s ridiculous. The mascara i usually buy is £9 but it is a want not a need.
I am also out of liquid iron - the one that works for me is not cheap and a side effect of my health condition is chronic anaemia so i need to purchase this soon really, could well be contributing to my poor energy levels. (I have had prescribed tablets before but i cannot tolerate them hence i choose the more expensive liquid option).
Could also do with stocking up on vitamin D3 for winter- the costs feel never ending sometimes!

You've made me think I should open up another pot for glasses. Sure I probably need new ones.
If you are going to read my diary, you might want to settle in with a big cuppa and snacks 😂1 -
