They are definitely £1.99 in our local Sainsbury's - shelf edge label said so and I got it price checked.

It appears that way. Checked another Sainsbury's today and £1.99.
But they have the Disney ones @ 79p for 2 which is relatively cheap for kitchen rolls.

That's the Christmas one - with Christmas confetti in the package - just to make it easier to spot! It wasn't marked down in my local, but I asked for a price check at the checkout and even the SA was surprised at the price.0 -

I was thinking exactly the same when I was shopping last night. It's got to be one of the biggest ripoffs on the planet, along with loo paper.Why is kitchen roll so expensive? Sorry I missed this offer, I think MSE needs a supermarket board that lists all current offers (if possible)
