Reading Atlas Mk10D Multirate Meter
I'm trying to help an outfit review their electricity cost, tariff etc. It's a three phase supply with an EDMI Atlas Mk10D meter.
They're being billed by SSE on a dual rate, and every single reading on their bills is estimated. So an early step would be to get real meter readings to them.
The problem is I can't make sense of the meter display. Stepping through the screens there are two kWh readings. One is labelled "Pr t" and hasn't changed in a few days. The other is labelled "totAl" and does increase.
So it seems there's a missing reading somewhere, there should be a second kWh count that, when added to "Pr t" would add up to "totAl".
I have been given a bunch of photos which are said to include all the screens, these are in the order taken ..
Pr t kWh 31671
Pr Hu kvarh
Pr H2 kVAh
tiNE (time of day)
dAtE
totAl kWh 32872
Nd kW
N2 kVA
Hu kvarh
H2 kVAh
Pr t kWh (again) 31671
Pr Nd kW
Pr N2 kVA
Pr Hu kvarh
Pr H2 kVAh
I can guess that all the readings prefixed by "Pr" refer to one rate, those with no prefix refer to the total, but I don't see the second rate. Although "Pr t" hasn't changed in five days its current reading isn't much less than total
There are loads of documents covering the Mk10A but that is not the same meter, the printed labelling is different and the displayed readings aren't in the same form.

I too ended up falling down rabbit holes in search of an EDMI Atlas Mk 10D manual. I wasted far too much time reading threads on Australian forums which largely consisted of posts similar to @Qyburn's OP. However, I did come across this slightly archaic document which goes into some detail about the mysteries of this meter's menu structure: EDMI Atlas Hardware Reference Manual. The most important thing I garnered was that the menus are configurable and can vary significantly from supplier to supplier and from DNO to DNO.I'm not being lazy ...

I'm going to phone SSE on Monday. We need to get real readings as I'm pretty sure the estimates are unrealistically high. If "toAl" (32872) is truly the total of day and night, then a day reading of 33000+ and night 20000+ simply can't be correct.0

It's really infuriating that some meter manufacturers don't make proper manuals publicly available; Kaifa even said that, because of retailers' customizations, they expect suppliers to create their own manuals for their customers. @Scot_39 and I were once hunting for other EDMI manuals and eventually found the ones we needed on the manufacturer's website, discovering that one display icon indicated diametrically opposite states on two otherwise very similar models. We found out a few weeks later that these manuals were no longer available at the site.I'm not being lazy ...

Regarding suppliers providing documentation, some do give quite detailed information about specific meter models. Unfortunately SSE doesn't.0 -
