Solicitors asking for additional money a month after house purchase

We completed on our flat purchase on 18th April, received final invoice, all paid up. Solicitor made a mistake and charged £150 for land registry when it should have been £330. They're asking for the difference. Should I pay it? The mistake is theirs, a month has passed. How long are they allowed to keep going over figures and changing the invoice?

you need to check the T&Cs of the contract and their terms of business to see what it says.
if it's in there, then you probably need to pay.
In these cases I always think about what would happen if it was the other way around - would you be happy if they charged you £600 and when they realised it was a mistake said sorry but it's too late now?5 -

They have above average skills to navigate the routes to obtain legal resolution, and as a business which works to a large degree on trust and people's word they can take unkindly to people who don't operate to the same standards. Also, less than a year into ownership of a flat, you don't yet know that you won't need their help or a favour from them if something else turns up.8

If your employers made a mistake and paid you £200 rather than £2,000 would you expect them to make up the short fall or think its done now so obviously I just have to accept the short fall?4 -
If the mistake is genuine and the £330 is correct then just pay up.
Best course of action.1 -
