15 year old debt,Carbot warrant of control

Hi
So hopefully I can get some advice.
I had a overdraft maybe 15 years ago with Santander . Had some bad times so didn't pay it back. Then carbot bought the debt and now I've got a warrant of control, the dreaded 7 day letter. Now I admit I've ignored all the previous letters as I thought considering the age of the debt it would go away, but doesn't seem to be the case, ccjs got added and now the letter..what are my options. I no not to let them in or even have any communication with them "the bailiffs"
Also as far as I no I've never paid anything to carbot in regards to the debt amount, and haven't had any contact with them via phone "I think"
Many thanks.
Steve

How long ago did you get the CCJ?
Do you have a car that you own parked on the driveway or outside the house?
What are the rest of your finances like at the moment?0 -
Are these the court bailiffs?0

The debt would likely have been statute barred, and you could have used that as a defence to Cabot’s claim had you responded to it.
You can now apply to have this set aside, but there will be a cost for this, I’m assuming it’s the county court bailiff that has written to you, best advice is not to allow them entry, and park any cars well away from your house before they attend.
How much is the debt they are chasing for?

And the ccjs was issued I think in June this year. That's why I'm confused. I didn't think a ccjs could be issued for a debt being so old .0 -

So the CCJ isnt old, but you may still have difficulty arguing for a set aside as you simply ignored the court papers.0

What do you think my options are?
I mean just ignore the bailiff. Worried about attachment of earnings, that's what worries me the most!
