Recieved reminder of letter before claim about to expire but no letter of claim

I am stating that I am yet to recieve a letter of claim to be sent and could it please be resent. Otherwise, I have followed the draft for letter before claim (in case they don't accept I didn't recieve it)
I live in a block of flats and it's very iffy whether I recieve post/packages (quite often delivered to the wrong flat, most of the time it will turn up eventually but not always), I have asked for them to send a letter elsewhere where there is more mail reliability.
Is this the correct thing to do? I have basically today to reply before they say the letter of claim expires :O
Also, if I need to start preparing my defence will a fluttering ticket fly when it was a resident's permit (it was displayed just was in the corner of the dashboard ) ? So it did originally have a sticky back which seems to be what a lot of fluttering ticket cases rely on if I understand correctly? However, it was years and years old so it had lost it's stick!

If you have a residents permit you need to check what your lease says about parking - if it doesn't mention the permit but only states you are entitles to parking - then your lease contract cannot be over-ridden by their T&Cs and a contract they say you formed by parking.

1. A Letter of Claim can't expire as such. Any timescales are arbitrary in practical terms and it's up to you whether you respond or ignore. If they want to make a court claim they will do so, at a time of their choosing.
2. If your address for service is somewhere more
reliable then you were right to tell them.
3. Thanks for looking at the lease. When you bought the flat what did you think was the deal with the parking space? Your solicitor should have spelt it out as nobody would buy a flat with zero guarantees over the allotted parking space. It could just be taken away and your flat's value could plummet as a result, for example.
4. Your defence sounds decent. Just post your claim form on here if you receive one (personal details removed).2 -
I have asked for them to send a letter elsewhere where there is more mail reliability.Who is 'them'?
Is this the correct thing to do?
Which firm of solicitors?
Which PPC?
A residential defence always flies. You had a permit and they know it.
Await the claim form and tell the householders at the address you nominated, not to panic. NOT to pay a court claim because it costs nothing to defend.
If they don't believe us & want to intervene & pay it for you, tell them to read the official MSE Guide to private parking tickets linked at the top of this page. It confirms that you can choose to defend. No risk. No cost. No CCJ.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
