I did

Template response from local authority, advisingme to followany appeals process with the private parking enforcement organisation. I followed up with a second email. They seemed even less interested and their response was very much a repeat of the first.

Hmmm maybe a complaint to the DVLA that this operator is issuing PCNs on the public highway.

We write in relation to the above matter. 

Upon review of the matter, our client will be agreeable to discontinue the claim and take no further action on the basis that both parties agree to bear their own costs. If agreed, the Claimant will file a Notice of Discontinuance with the Court and a copy will be served on you for your records.

 

Please confirm within the next 7 days whether you are agreeable to the above. If you do not agree, or we do not hear from you, then the matter will continue through the Court process as normal and you should continue to respond to all Court direction.

I think that what I should have really started with is a thank you to all the people on here that are continuously assisting the novice (ie me) in these situations against a wholly immoral trade in all aspects, which is largely legal.

You could tell them that you want your costs because the photos show the car on public highway so the CCTV is issuing private PCNs without reasonable cause.

Have you been caused any costs?

No money has been paid up, but it has taken up a considerable amount of my time.

I'm baffled as to why they have folded now. They had 2 PCNs rolled into one claim.

One of the PCNs they couldn't pursue the RK as it wasn't compliant. In the mediation no offer was made and I have not received any further contact about any lower offer since.

I presumed that they made you go the hassle of submitting a WS prior to ddiscontinuing.Yet here we are.
