Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet.
I slept until the alarm this morning so feel a but fuzzy! Thankfully I did the washing last night so that's on the line this morning. It's overcast so far but the last few days have seen it get really warm and sunny in the afternoon.
Grass cut last night although I don't think it's grown very much with no rain. Also emptied a couple of pots with dead shrubs in, I'll take the bags to the tip at the weekend along with one of the stone pots as it's seen better days!
Hope you're feeling better Coxy.
Must dash, take care. XX13 -
Morning everyone I’m off out to a cleaning job soon it’s dull but dry here although it has felt chilly the last few days. Not a lot happening I baked some scones yesterday I had a few pots with spring onions in they were starting to look a bit straggly and I had some half price strong cheese so it used those up hubby is happy. I’m waiting for a text from one of the granddaughters today about her results I had one that did very well last week and got into Durham university it’s what she wanted so she is really happy I’ve been lucky they are all hard workers . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing13

Good morning
Thank you for the start @ScarletRibbons.
Pleased it's much cooler as I'm going on my walk this morning. We always have a coffee and a chat afterwards
Lots of jobs to do in the garden, not sure how much will get done.
Take care
If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.14 -
Morning all
Thanks for the start Scarlet.Good luck to all those with young relatives getting results today!
Gers - wow , well done on the weight loss!I didn’t manage to avoid the fabric shop but did only buy one little bit to make a cushion for the campervan. The pharmacist didn’t seem concerned about the rash on my arm and just swopped the antihistamine I was taking - it does seem less itchy although the tablets. Are me sleepy. I won’t have one this morning as I have to go and collect my new glasses. Bdog is on a little diet and now signed up to a monthly weight check and clinic (thankfully free) - he only needs to loose 1 kg.Have a good day all

Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons x
I am up and at it today after losing days earlier this week. I got 3 days of AB’s from the lovely pharmacist (first time using their services) and am feeling quite well now. DS2 has left his washing to mount up (still in student mode) so the first of three loads is on. He will help DH at the school today whilst I take Mum out. I need a couple of last bits for the holiday, then can iron/pack later, before the pub quiz. Will it be second place as per usual??Enjoy your walk @silver-oldie 😊
Good luck to those with family members expecting results today x
Hope all went well with DH’s op @RosyRed x.Have a good day everyone

Morning all. Thank goodness I feel better this morning; I was beginning to wonder if I ever would!
@TA; fingers crossed for DGS getting operated on tomorrow.
@Coxy11; fingers also crossed for you being better and able to enjoy your holiday.
@Izzy; congratulations to your DGD on her place at Durham
Today we're taking both DGS to an event at our local Forest Centre; something like painting wooden farm animals, which they should both enjoy. It's gives their parents a few hours peace to get on with some workI made a large Thai chicken curry last night so there's plenty left over for us tonight plus the never ending plums. DD requested plum crumble so that's in the fridge ready to take over plus a jar of plum jam our friend made from our windfalls.
It's cooler here again today, which is lovely. Look after yourselves everyone.

Morning all - thanks for the start @Scarlet.When the cleaner was here I went off down to the beautiful Tarbert, a wee harbour village which has fishing boats coming and going. The big coastguard boat was moored so I had a wee nosy. My plan was to post a parcel, did that and the succumbed to a bacon roll from the Italian cafe next door. They used to sell home-made ice cream from a large refrigerated display counter, now they do a roaring trade in hot food with ice-cream available! Anyway, the indulgence was a very tasty treat, first in ages. Thanks to all the congrats BTW.I had asked my chap to get rid of the spiders webs from the corners of rooms, I think he doesn't have them at his own home. He duly vacuumed them all so I was happy when I got home. Also the washing was dry even though the sun never made much of an appearance. This morning the gardener is coming to do some clearing and planting. Whilst she's here I'll tackle the dead lavender in the pot outside my front door. My toppled rose bush is bouncing back though it does need more bit chopped off. The other runt rose needs a bit of attention too. Despite being bought at the same time one has flourished and the other stalled. The other week I discovered that the supplier has a lifetime guarantee to replace roses which fail or fail to thrive so a replacement is on the way. It took a bit of a struggle with a fairly unhelpful staff member but I've managed it. The exact one is no longer available so I've chosen the Chelsea Pensioner" rose instead, it's not available until early / mid September but I'm happy to wait.I'm gradually taking more things out of the house, no big effort at doing it all at once, more of taking one or two obvious things at a time. Since the wardrobe clear out I now have have a dozen wooden coat hangers to get rid of, if the CS doesn't want them they'll have to find a new home elsewhere.I hope that everyone has a good day, busy, quiet or even just slothful. Hugs all round. Enjoy your walk @SO.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Another day of no sunshine today. Yesterday it got out for about 5 minutes before disappearing again. Still no rain.
IZZY I'm awaiting a text too! Middle DGD going in for her results shortly so my fingers are crossed for her - and everybody else awaiting results.
I'm all at sea with days this week. Yesterday I thought it was Thursday - my usual kitchen and bathroom cleaning day. So I made a start in the kitchen and then realised it was Wednesday! I carried on regardless and got a bit carried away cleaning all the cupboard doors etc too. Next the bathroom So now I am undecided about today! Do I bring the Friday Tidy forward a day or not! Such decisions!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. COXY I hope you are fit and well for your trip after the bad timing of the uti. Take care all, be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
Morning all, dull again and cool. I'm off out to walk LDog shortly.DH had his knee op eventually yesterday, later in the day than planned but at least it's done now. He was meant to have a pain killing jab in his spine but after trying for half an hour they gave up and he had a general, seems like the arthritis has fused it and they couldn't find space. I was beginning to wonder why he wasn't ringing later in the afternoon but he was groggy when we spoke. He rang again last night and sounde more his usual self. Hopefully he will be let out today but later on.In the meantime I am having an early lunch with my cousins before nursing duties commence
Just need to clean the floor in the kitchen and dry the dog blankets then we'll be spick and span!
Gers I loved Tarbert when we used to visit. I hope everyone has a good day. Glad WLady and @Coxy11 are on the mend. Enjoy your day folks.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)13 -
Hi everyone,
Coxy, our quiz team name is ABS, it stands for Always bloody second. Have a great time in Washington.
Izzy, well done to your DGD.
TA, I've not been on for a while s I hope your DGD gets fixed up tomorrow.
We looked after Nate last Thursday and he was a little dynamo, we went to soft play in the morning and a playground in the afternoon and he didn't stop. When we got home I thought he'd veg in front of the TV but no he wanted to build an obstacle course with Steve. Then, after Chris got home he suddenly developed a really high temperature so I thought we'd broken him. It must have been a virus though because Crystal had it and then I got it on Tuesday. Nate and Crystal both recovered quite quickly but I'm still feeling pants.
It's unfortunate because today is moving day. The furniture and stuff was taken away yesterday and is going down this morning, Steve and Brian have gone down to meet them. Laura and I are following with the children and dog so I hope I'm feeling a bit better by the time I leave.
We'll be back on Saturday night and then we have Chris and Crystal's cat for a few days!
Have a good day.14
