Distance learning fees, help if possible advice

Thank you everybody for your input. I cannot feasibly complete the course as my working day starts at 6am and finishes at 530pm with the best will in the world I don't have the time or energy to complete competently.
I accept that colleges resources are finite but this fee comes as a surprise at this level. With this course being basically how to answer phones and form emails it's very entry level. Lvl 3 yes much higher and has a price tag to match then 4 and 5 getting on towards full blown HR admin quals.
I can see me just having to swallowing this but no idea how.
Thank you though to your collective input......0 -
But it says flexible days/hours. Can you not do it at weekends etc?1

Sounds like the college has obtained funding from some source (eg Govt.) on the proviso that the candidate completes the course satisfactorily. If not the the college fees will not be covered. Think your going to have to chose your option either complete or pay1

With these kinds of courses it’s very standard for there to be a charge if you do not complete the course. I have seen it a lot.0 bonus saver

How much is left to complete the course ?
Would it not be useful to finish it anyway as presumably you started it thinking it would be of use in the future0 -
I've managed a 2 week extension and just filling in the questions I can't take time on them just submit them as the course says non completion not non pass.....I have even said to the provider that I can't guarantee the quality of the submissions.
A few comments have mentioned a feasibility or so of not dealing direct with the college, I believe I used a site something like free course finder.com or something similar, found my free course content and applied, they then selected Walsall as my provider upon successful application now I don't remember having Walsall's terms and conditions only the brokers.
I think this should be a future change though, free courses where failure can be met with such severe financial consequences seems somewhat unfair, I think not having this failure information hidden behind links or in very small print would help people make a more informed decision, just my now 10p worth

All awards are made subject to satisfactory attendance, good progress, behaviour and may be reduced or withheld if standards are not met.
Pointing out you are doing a tick box exercise rather than actually trying to learn and answer things correctly could trigger the same issues with funding as simply dropping out. Had you simply answered to the best of your ability and not pointed out you didnt put effort in wouldnt have been a problem as funding isnt conditional on your passing it.0
