Ai investment con on Facebook please be aware

There is another fake scam Video on Facebook regards Ai Investment using a supposed 'This morning TV segment' with Cat Deeley and Ben Shepherd.

A family member has fallen victim to this yesterday, we are in the process of seeing if her bank can help. A link is provided on the advert and a call is placed by them. the 'advisor' talks you through ways of getting financial reward and then if you agree a form is sent via email to fill in. a follow up phone call by a 'financial advisor' is then placed.

This advisor was Michael F. Senior Account manager from Ultrabrokers.net

That's sad to hear.  But also one of the many reasons why I have told my parents not to use FB.  AI videos are easy to spot, and anything on FB has to be taken with a pinch of salt.  Anyone older and/or not tech savvy people are the target audience for these snakes to scam

Because their relatives have been scammed and they are trying to get the money back.
    The "advisor" scammed the relatives.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

FB and other social media scams have been going on for years and generally well publicised.

Cannot believe people even think it is a good idea to transact on these platforms.

I agee - don't use social media for investment advice - ever.

That said you may get some better advice on here if you say in what way the financial advisor scammed your parents

Anything on FB nowadays is not to be trusted. The scammers use AI as a means to rob.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

Is there going to come a point where banks will stop refunding those who believe the Facebook / social media investment scams?

If it's an investment "opportunity" and it's on Facebook/social media then it's one to swerve with the worlds longest bargepole.

Doubt it - we live in a world where the rest of us have to pay for the stupid.
