Recording phone call

Hello
My husband passed away on Sunday and I'm desperate to make a recording of the Voucemail message that he recorded on his phone.
My phone is a Samsung S10 which doesn't have a built in facility to record phone calls.
I downloaded Cube ACR and it appeared to record it but when I played the recording back there was no sound.
I seem to have lost the ability to think since my husband's illness - and I was never very techie savvy anyway, as he took care of that side of life. I would be very grateful for any advice on how I can preserve his voice.

Sorry for your loss - that's so very recent, no wonder you're having difficulty thinking things through.  Hopefully the lovely people here can help.

Maybe a friend, relative has a fancier phone that could do the recording for you and then be able to email you the file?

I am sure you can record phone calls so it should be possible to record a voicemail message. Sorry for your loss.

Can you use the video function on your phone camera? It will capture the sound if you want to fill the camera, you csn point it towards whstever you wish to film or judtvrecord his voice. This should be safe until it is deleted .
    Give it a few try.

If you can find a quite place. Or put both phones in a cupbsord so it gets better quality

I hope this is of some help. Sorry for your loss.

Put the Samsung S10 on loudspeaker, then use any other phone (or even a laptop) with its built-in voice recorder app to capture the sound.

That will be terrible quality, an app to record the call will be much better quality. I’m not techy enough to know what app.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Just to clarify, I would need to phone my husband's (dumb) phone from my Samsing S10 to hear his voice on my handset when his phone goes to Voicemail. I haven't got another phone and I'm utterly hopeless with the laptop.

I guess I do need to try another app?

Try contacting the customer service people for the phone company involved, explain the situation and they might well be able to provide you with a copy of the recording from their system - which is where it resides - not on his phone.

That's great I would do. Call his phone with a smartphone with an app to record the call.
