Parcel delivered to wrong address - yet another thread!

Our daughter bought some books for delivery to our address. RM 48 Tracked.

The parcel's showing as delivered, and there's a very nice picture of someone else standing inside their front door holding the parcel as proof of delivery.

I've thought of showing the picture to our postman, to see whether he recognises the front door. The chances are that it's been delivered locally, but not necessarily to our street.

I believe GPS data is logged for the RM 48 service - you should be able to see in the proof of delivery section, however if it's not showing you can ask CS for the location data.

Does it not have a drop pin on a map showing where it was delivered? 

In the Royal Mail app it shows a thumbnail of the photo but if you tap on it it shows a bigger photo plus a map with a pin

There's no location data on the tracking website. Oddly, the picture has disappeared now.

Ask on local facebook site if anyone recognises the picture.

Given it was Royal Mail, would suggest trying on their App... have found before that there can be differences between the web and app

I’ve just realised that the photo shows the parcel as being delivered at 5.59 AM today!  I’m pretty sure RM do not attempt delivery that early.
