Hi, We have had our conservatory roof done by the above company. Have no problems with their work and am very pleased with the result.
My concern is the warranty given of 3 years for the roof panels. We paid a considerable amount for this roof and am quite miffed we missed the 'small print'. However the installers and one person who came to rectify small snags said the warranty was 10 years.
When we signed the paperwork it was presented in such a way we couldn't see this information. I agree with anybody who says buyer beware but I'm worried that the company does not have enough faith in their roof panels to give a fairer warranty. I'm pretty sure that if anything went wrong at 6 years a judge would deem it not fit for purpose? Surely you'd expect a replacement roof to last quite a bit longer? If we had seen the small print we douldn't have gone ahead with this company.
I have emailed and got standard reply, ie. we signed the order etc.
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I think that behaviour is pretty standard. When we had new double glazing they shouted loudly about their 10 year insurance backed guarantee, but when you read it the frames are covered for 10 years, the sealed units for less, the hinges and handles for even less, all down to about 3 months for the mastic.
You have to read the small print or take the risk.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0 -
Their advert states 10 years for the panels and1 year for workmanship. How can they wriggle out of that?
