What a nightmare Manchester airport is.
Yes I went there 10 days ago to drop off my daughter. We got lost and drove through the drop off area, trying to find the short stay car park.
So I've got a fine for being in the drop off zone, even though I didn't park.
We then found the short stay car park. Parked there and paid.
How can they fine you when you didnt even park up, we drove straight through.
We went to pick her up yesterday.
We decided to use the pick up zone...but again drove through the drop off zone. We thought that area was pick up too.
We found pick up zone and picked her up and paid.
This morning, my husband checked the bank (we have it set up on the app now) and they have indeed charged us for driving through the drop off zone

Definitely not a fine, magistrates issue fines
Read the recent Manchester Airport threads about it and the keeper appeals to Apcoa using the no keeper liability template seen in Airport threads , not just Manchester but various other Airports too

No blabbing about who was driving or about what happened, the keeper won't pay a penny if they follow our advice here2 -
I dropped at Manchester last week, I believe the sign says 10 minutes free. It was my daughters car, I am collecting her tomorrow.Go to Leeds/Bradford airport and its £7, there is a free one but it's a little further walk.0

The free drop-off is at Jetparks1 , no 10 minutes free at Manchester Airport

Easy to beat any APCOA PCN though.
@debby please can you edit your thread title because you certainly DON'T have a fine. But how can you have a PCN from APCOA and also been charged the drop off fee?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
