Thanks for the start Gers.

It's quite overcast this morning and a bit cooler but still dry. Yesterday turned out to be quite warm with no breeze so it got quite draining at work. Once the sun gets round to our part of the building it heats up really quickly. Sadly it's very cold in the winter!

Washing was all dried yesterday and put away, I even did the ironing although there wasn't much. Can't help thinking that the dresses and shorts will have had their last wear of the year.

Can't remember what everyone is up to but will wish you all well and hope you have a good day. Take care. XX

Didn't get to spend my voucher yesterday as they didn't have what I was looking for on the shelves and you couldn't use the voucher online either.  

Nothing going on today apart from some housework and some ironing

Sorry to hear TA's DGD didn't get to have her op yesterday.  How frustrating.

Morning folks and thanks GERS.  Another rubbish night for me, I'm getting a bit fed up now. No sun forecast for today but still no rain. 

Well surprisingly I did get a better offer after all yesterday, so the jobs waiting in the wings are still there. DD asked me if I wanted a trip out to a retail park with her and youngest for a dressing table stool/mini ottoman thing DGD had seen and desperately wanted!  She still had a small wad of birthday money so was buying it herself. Then of course we ended up in a sm and I came out with more groceries I didn't need. I can't resist a bargain.

Eldest DGD got the promised call from the hospital and has been re-appointed for Friday. When that's over with she thinks she had better come home to recuperate as feels she is a bit of a nuisance at bf's. DD and other two plan on going to the caravan at the w/e for a few days so she is hoping she'll be ok to go with them. 

Today is supposed to be lunch with DF but I know to my cost this might yet be cancelled! So I await confirmation or a sorry I can't make it text.

Morning everyone TA I hope everything goes ahead on Friday for your DGD my hubby has been on an operating table before all marked up and then they have cancelled it goodness knows how that works. It’s mild and cloudy here I’m off to do a cleaning job soon I made four shepherds pies to freeze and four sausage casseroles yesterday that is the last of the stuff that’s been in far to long so I’ve got a freezer full of meals just to heat through it will keep us going for a while then there will be enough room for Xmas food I’ve tried to live off the freezer this month just buying fresh but  I feel as if I’m spending a small fortune everything is so expensive just buying fruit and veg you wonder where your money is going. I was going to wash towels but they can wait until tomorrow now I think it has to be the better day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning all, thanks for the start Gers.

Glad DGD has a new appt soon TA. DH goes in early tomorrow so we're really hoping it doesn't get cancelled again.

I did a deep clean in the bathroom yesterday,& spent some time pruning a rampant climber etc . in the garden ' my back is feeling it this morning. DS2 & DGS called yesterday so he could have a play with Ldog.I'll be taking him out soon then I can get back to wash my hair and change -  I'm out for lunch with my old next door neighbour today so I'll not need much later . I think I'll go up to the retail park a bit earlier as I've run out of some things,I wish I'd got a bit of veg from the farmers market we went to on Sunday. I've got pork fillet out for tea, not decided what recipe yet though.

Well done on the freezer meals Izzy, mine need a sort out now & you're right with prices. I seem to get less and less for the same spend   

Hope everyone has a good day but I think you could be right about the summer dresses etc. Camelot!

Morning all

Looks to be another nice day although it’s very chilly this morning, I have had to put my oodie thing on for the first time in months.

I only have one person coming today and one phoned in sick yesterday we planned to walk around the shops, the one still coming loves shopping so it’s a perfect day for him we will get a sandwich lunch from a bakery that makes them up while you wait and they are delicious.

I had the most terrible night last night, I don’t think I slept for more than an hour 😩 I feel fit for nothing this morning so an early night will be had for sure.

Dinner tonight will be tuna and egg salad with fresh bread and butter, we get the tuna on holiday each year and it’s in jars in olive oil or spring water, the island is famous for it, I have two jars left from last year so will try and eat them before we go so that I can restock 😬

TA glad she doesn’t have long to wait xx

Morning all.

Up and sorted a bit earlier today; currently on my second cuppa. So nice it's a bit cooler.

Need to be organised today as have the cleaner coming, my shingles jab and then have to leave about 1.30pm for a funeral. I would be offering to help DD with childcare but not possible today. DH made some smoked mackerel pate yesterday so we'll have that for lunch before setting off. I made some chocolate chip cookies as well. Have said I'll make DD a plum crumble and she can cook it. She replied by saying she'll buy custard. A generational thing, as I always make custard using custard powder! 

So pleased that DGD is now booked for Friday TA. Surely this one will go ahead DS is studying hard in his spare time so that he can take his Consultant's exams a couple of years early. He's currently at Registrar level and had to get the go ahead from his Consultant to do this. A couple of his friends have already done the same so fingers crossed he's ok. 

Better get on. Hope things go well for everyone today.

Morning everyone
Cloudy, drizzly and cooler here this morning - I'll have to put a jacket on when I go out, for the first time in ages.
It's forecast to be the same tomorrow, but I'm hoping that's wrong as I'm taking little one and nephew to Alnwick Gardens for the day.
Little one spent the weekend with me, then went home at lunchtime yesterday....I had a very lazy afternoon and didn't do any jobs I should have got one with. She'll be back at lunchtime today as we've got an activity booked at the library - making bee houses.
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning and then need to pop down to the shops for some bits for our picnic tomorrow.
TA I hope your DGDs operation goes ahead on Friday and you get out for lunch.
better get moving - I hope everyone has a good day x

Hello all, it's overcast and cooler this morning but with the hope of warmer sun this afternoon. We spent a couple of hours at Dad's yesterday doing a few things but I'm afraid he's going to have a bad fall outside, he nearly went twice when we were there as he will insist on going up and down the 2 back steps with his walker and not holding onto the rail. He also tripped over the mats in the conservatory which he had put back down as soon as the physio took then up and walked out the door.
Today I want to get the caravan stuff out and sort some bits to take over there tomorrow ready for our hols.  Other than that there's some housework to be done. When rummaging in the freezers I found some bacon so we'll have bacon and eggs for tea today.
Rosy good luck to your DH for today, sorry I thought it was today.
WL hope the funeral goes a well as it can.
TA everything is crossed for your DGD and Friday now.
