Avios/Hotel Points via a Cash ISA / Savings Account

Can anyone recommend an account where I can deposit possibly £1000 per month and receive some Air Miles or some Hotel Points ?   Not interested in a Stocks and Shares ISA

No, but even better, a savings account will pay you cash instead!

The margins on cash savings accounts (or at least ones that pay a decent rate of interest) aren't good enough to justify the sort of freebies you are after.

But that's why the likes of Nutmeg can bung you a load of Avios every so often for moving money over to their pension or S&S ISAs. You are really the one paying for it in the long run...

I also saw the Nutmeg offer... I chose the lowest level of risk for the S and S account, and so I have a product that is very similar to a cash savings account.

...except you don't get charged management fees for a cash savings account.

If you do a quick in-and-out with Nutmeg, just keeping to their minimum hold period, then you can make a bit of a return on those Avios, but in the longer term, those fees will outweigh the benefits many times over...

I was looking into the Nutmeg / Avios offer yesterday and I read on their website that investing in the cash type fund option does not qualify for the offer…

That is correct. What I did was invest in the stocks account, but chose the very lowest risk level. I intend to hold it for just a year, and over this period my return (net of management fees) will be very similar to that on a cash savings account.
