Applying for a loan question

Hello. I was looking at applying for a small loan with my bank just to do some home improvements. I work fulltime and my wife is a housewife. She doesn't sign on and neither of us claim any benefits however when filling out my application it asks if anybody relies on me for financial support. I do give her money towards the housekeeping, shopping etc whilst I am at work but that's it. Do I have to say yes or does it mean if I was paying child support etc? Thanks in advance

She is being financially supported by you.Life in the slow lane1

As she has no income of her own she is dependent on you for money
Where else would she get money for food, clothes etc?1 -
If you're applying for a loan online there is likely to be a button / information tab / glossary explaining the terms they use. Read it and see how they define it for that bank.
Bear in mind you need to be consistent. Changing stuff like that to try to game the system could land you in a world of trouble. Applications are monitored for consistency.
Finally - I'm in a similar position to you - and I always put yes....,
