BMW extended "Insured" Warranty: Is it worth it on a used 10 year old car?

Looking to buy a BMW privately.
It's around 95k mileage, 10 years old and has full service history according to the seller.
I'm quite risk averse and was wondering if anyone has any experience with BMW's Warranty? https://www.bmw-warranty.co.uk/
This is the bit that I'm concerned about;

This is the bit that I'm concerned about;
- a) Care of the vehicle - you must keep your vehicle in an efficient and road worthy condition and regularly service it in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations and genuine parts, or parts of equivalent specification must be used. You must have a valid MOT where one is required.
The seller claims full service history (photo's included of the service history on the iDrive infotainment system of the BMW)- however, what is the likelihood that non genuine or equivalent specs were used?
- b) After each service, please ensure that the relevant service details are completed in your service records by the servicing garage and obtain an itemised VAT receipt for the service. You must keep all such receipts for reference in the event of a claim.

Depends on how much the driveline cover is.Undoubtably, when the timing chain fails, or a turbo, or anything else Expensive (with a capital E) they will refuse to pay out if you can't prove that every drop of oil that ever went in was to BMW's exact spec. and you will end up taking legal action or negotiating with the Ombudsman or something to get them to pay out.However, if you don't have the cover you would be on the hook for thousands, so if it is cheap enough it could be worth it as it gives you a chance at getting something.The other cover(s) will only last 5000miles, how unlucky do you feel compared to the cost?I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

If it does have a FSH ask to see all the invoices for work done. A good seller would have these anyway ready for prospective buyer to have a look at.0

I have extended the warranty on my BMW for the last three years (it's six years old). It's a convertible, so I pay for the warranty in case the folding metal roof goes bang. I have claimed twice on the warranty, the amplifier (Harmon Kardon) failed two times and I had it replaced both times. Cost was £1k each time, there was absolutely no quibble from the dealership and it was all settled seamlessly, no cost to me bar the excess once.
So in my humble opinion the warranty is worth it.
Kind Regards,

No never. The vehicle has always been serviced at various BMW dealers.
