I often respond on here whilst sitting by the pool, or in the bar taking in the sun in some overseas destination.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Don't think it applies for MSE but I know that in Canada you can't post or view links to news items on social media like facebook. So when I'm there I can't see things friends in the UK might have posted - other than their comments. I don't know why for sure but I know that Canada has in the past had bans of certain news being reported and so if I wanted to know what was happening had to depend on UK friends giving me a verbal account of what the BBC or whomever might have reported.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. There is probably a small risk that some content could be considered financial advice in some jurisdictions and their FCA status would only cover them for the UK. Their AR status will be to do with the comparisons they run on insurance etc and so may avoid issue in other jurisdictions as they won't return quotes etc but it technically could breach some countries laws and some are just a pain in the !!!!!! and so blocking IPs from those countries would probably be a sensible move rather than having to deal with an overseas regulator demanding you pay fines.
