Morning all
Its a bit overcast here and not so warm, I have a towel load just finishing so will hang them on the line before going to mums, I will do a bit of work there this morning and then take her out to a GC for lunch and then visit Hobby Craft which she loves and I can’t bear 😂
Dinner tonight will be sausage mash and veg dd is off today so she will probably cook, I may need to stop off for veg as we are running short, I also need some dog treats.
I spent some time in the garden yesterday all of the hanging baskets were all just about dead so I emptied them and chucked three which were years old and falling to bits, I will get some new ones to replace then for next year.
I also got a new mortgage deal so that’s done for another two years, did not get round to my invoices though so that’s to do this week.
TA I hope all goes well for your dgd today xx
Coxy feel better soon xx
Have good days all and take care xx12 -
Morning all, thanks @Scarlet for the start today. Yesterday wasn't quite as sunny as promised and there's a definite change coming in the weather for this week. Today should be dry with a gentle breeze, mainly cloudy until late afternoon when we might have some hazy sunshine, top temps of 21 deg. I think shades of autumn are on the horizon.
Yesterday was as slothful as expected but I did shorten one of the summer dresses and have the other one pinned, ready for sewing. Today I'll put on a wash load (clothes), change the bedding and make up a batch of mac'n cheese, some for tea tonight and some for the freezer. Unless I can summon up some energy and/or enthusiasm, that may well be my lot for the day!
@TA - Good luck to your DGD for today's op. Sorry to hear about the eye problems - I wonder if you have dry eyes? Apparently that can happen after having cataracts removed. If so, lubricating eye drops help - I use them every day, sometimes twice a day if need be.
@Coxy - Sorry to hear about the wretched UTI, get well soon.
@Rosy - I'm keeping my fingers crossed that DH's planned knee op doesn't get cancelled at the last minute.
I hope everyone has a good start to the new week, take care all. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.13 -
DGDs op cancelled! Already there and ready with wrist bands on and piercings covered! Will get a phone call with new date! She's not happy! Xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10

Oh, that is so frustrating, @TravellingAbuela, especially having mentally prepared for it to go ahead 😩10

Hello all, it's a very grey day here with maybe a shower later although we'll need a lot of rain to actually mean anything as we're in a drought area now.
Yesterday all the washing was dried, put away and the bed remade. I finished my jigsaw so that's been put away to be done again at a later date.
This morning we're back at Dad's paying yet more bills, I'm sure he has 20 more than us every month ! ( he doesn't but it feels like it) He's struggling to get to his sheets drawer, as I am, so I suggested moving them to another pull out drawer under the bed and was met by all excuses, so we'll see if that happens. At the end of the day I'm only trying to help him have an easier life because he still wants as much independence as possible.
I won't give myself any other jobs today as I usually come back from Dad's mentally worn out and I'll need to sit in a darkened room for a few hours 😂
TA oh no, I wouldn't be a happy bunny either ! 😡 Hope it gets done soon.
Coxy fingers crossed it passes asap.
Rosy good luck for the knee op.
Take care all, hugs to anyone in need.

@TA; that's dreadful! In my day Potts fractures (if that's what it is) were either dealt with immediately or after 10 days, because of the risk of swelling. I do hope she's given a date for later this week.
In other news, my sinus problem has improved but not gone away so I'm feeling a bit lethargic and can't be bothered with things. In true MSE fashion though I've picked up about 8 cooking apples from a box my neighbour has left out and will pass them on to a friend tomorrow. I have one last bag of chocolate orange drops so am gearing up to make a batch of cookies after lunch. We still have lots of plums so more plum compote might be made for later in the week.
Busy day tomorrow as I have my 2nd shingles jab followed by an elderly friend's funeral. She and her daughter were one time members of my main Morris side and we've been asked to attend in kit and do a dance afterwards.
Hope everyone else is keeping well; the cooler weather today is lovely.13 -

Oh no! Seems so common these days, sorry for your DGD as she'll have been built up for it. Think the same happened to @Snoozer's OH. Sending her a wee hug.10 -

Afternoon everyone
I've just read back over the last three days, as I've had little one all weekend. The sun has been shining and we've had a lovely time - the park and then my friend over with her grandchildren to play on Saturday and then I put the paddling pool up for her yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately it had a little hole in it, but I stuck the plastic handle of her sticking rope in, which did the trick. It's in the bin now, but she had a lovely afternoon playing in it.
It's cloudy here today and a bit cooler, hopefully the sun will pop out later.
I sat down and now I feel really shattered so I think I'll go and do some tidying in the garden...wake myself back up! I think I'll dose off if I sit here much longer!
Little one will be back again tomorrow lunchtime as we're building bee houses at the library and then going to Alnwick Gardens on Wednesday.
Right I'd best move,
That's such a shame for your grandaughter TA
Coxy I love your wooden pew
Take care xx10
