Good morning Scarlet and all who follow , thanks for starting.
Dull and cloudy out and looks set to stay like that all day.
Yesterday was a productive day. I seemed to get lots done, laundry, vacuuming and mopping the floors and of course making a steak pie, which was ok. I just need some more practice with this AF, my old one was so much easier. Still, onwards and upwards, today I'm going to try pork chops and garlic potatoes. Will report back if a success or not.
Other than that I dont know what's on the agenda, most jobs got done yesterday, so maybe a slothful Monday for a change.
Whatever you're doing have a good day, take care.14 -
Morning allDamp and misty out there this morning and had rain overnight too. No need to water the garden today then!Received a money off voucher from a well known store so going to outlet centre today to spend it on some fitted sheets I need. What's the betting they don't have the size/colour I want instore. You can't spend the voucher on ordering online to collect either. Crafty! Will see if there are any other bargains to be had while I have a mooch aroundApart from that nothing else exciting going on hereHope everyone has a good day x14

Good morning @ScarletRibbons and thanks for starting us off today x
I wasn’t too well yesterday afternoon with a UTI (sorry TMI first thing in the morning) of course no pharmacies open here in the sticks so I drank cranberry juice which helped. Still not 100% today which means I’ll miss a road trip to the Midlands with my DSis.
I will pop out for meds this morning as need to shift it before an 11hr flight on Saturday 😳 Not much else planned so will potter at home. Dinner is salmon and pea pasta which is very quick to make.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2025 founding member 😊 Read 25 books in 2025 17/25 Currently reading The Ghost Fields by Elly Griffiths14 -
Morning everyone
Thanks for the start Scarlet. It was another warm weekend with lots getting done - finished up transplanting some new strawberries yesterday so they’ll need to be kept well watered. They, or some other plant has irritated the inside on one of my arms which is has driven me mad all night despite putting cream on it. Never had anything like it before. Not much planned this week so plenty of time to get things done (famous last words as I usually go at things like a mad thing then get shattered!).Best wishes for TAs GD and all the other poorlies

Morning again, it's a grey start here.
Sorry to hear about your UTI Coxy, look after yourself.
We had a quiet day yesterday, just pottering. It was nice though, got quite a few jobs done in a fairly leisurely manner. Dh was a little bit low, but cheered up as the day went on.
Visiting my old friend up the road today, she's house bound but still interested in what's going on in the world and in her friend's lives.
Hope everyone is ok, hope all goes well for your dgd TA.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning everyone I’m off out to meet my friend soon for a coffee and a catch up it’s very dull here but mild . TA hope everything goes smoothly for your DGD today . Coxy you definitely need something to sort you out before your flight these things can be nasty . Otherwise not a lot going on just housework I’ve taken some mince out I will make some shepherds pies for the freezer I seem to have a lot of potatoes I don’t want them to start sprouting. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing13

Good morning 😊
Bar the usual Monday morning chores, there’s not a lot planned here, today. It’s so much cooler out, so I might spend some time in the garden. There hasn’t been a lot of that this summer, as it’s been too hot.
Dinner is an easy one, either chicken or plant based sausages, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables.
Hope you all have a good day 😊13 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet.Had a really busy weekend, football, dog walking and culminating in a bbq on Saturday evening at DS2s, quite a few of his friends there & he'd also asked DB & SiL. So no cooking for me , Sat. or Sunday either as Dh cooked his signature prawn dish yesterday. We went to a farmers market at a big old hall- lots of people take their dogs so we did too yesterday. He got on great mixing with other dogs and lots of people. I picked a load of blackberries from across the road when we got back so they're all in the freezer now.Right better have some breakfast, a busy day ahead doing last minute stuff before DH early admission on Wednesday for the new knee. Hope DGD procedure goes well TA. Have a good day all:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)14

Morning - thanks for the start @Scarlet.All the washing dried yesterday in the blazing sun, not a breath of wind all day which was lovely. This morning is my exercise class and then I'm meeting an acquaintance for coffee and chat this afternoon.I hope that everyone is doing well.13

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A bit of a dismal start here. No sun but thankfully no wind either. We missed the overnight rain and none is forecast so I think I had better do some watering of the surviving plants at some point today.
I feel jaded today for some reason and my eyes are sort of aching, as well as the mysterious red and itchy right eye lid. That seems to come and go but no idea what's causing it. .I'll blame the cataract op as I'm blaming it for everything else!
No plans for today but lots of jobs are waiting in the wings unless I get a better offer! I got the bill for the caravan boiler repair on Saturday so will pay that and get that out of the way. £170 is more than I was hoping. DGD had to be at the hospital for 7.30 but no idea where she is on the list. She has promised to let me know how it's gone when she is compos mentis after the anaesthetic. Thanks for all the good wishes.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies. COXY I hope you feel better soon. I could write a book about UTI's. Take care all, stay safe xx
