Redundancy

I work for the NHS part time for 18 years I have been off sick from work for the past 9 months, due to the sudden and unexpected death of my husband. I am now currently on half pay which only has 2 months left to run before no pay at all.
What I would like to ask you is how do I stand with taking a voluntary redundancy and how, due to being off sick do the Trust calculate my earnings as I am currently on half pay.
For example: Do I need to be back in work for a minimum of at least 3 months in order to benefit from a full package?
I hope this makes sense.

Have you been offered voluntary redundancy?2

So sorry for your loss. It must be devastating. 🤗
What's been said at your sickness reviews?
I can't see redundancy being an option unless they are being offered in your department.
Ill health retirement might be an option if you were old enough. What does your GP say about the time scale for a possible return to work?0 -
Firstly sorry to hear about your husband.
Assuming your department have a voluntary redundancy programme in place your being off sick shouldn't affect your eligibility.
I've Assumed that because surely the NHS don't pay voluntary redundancy to people off long term sick who want to leave instead of managing that/their position.
They really should be trying to get you back into work and looking at any adjustments you need. Alternatively taking you down the capability route.0 -
I am sorry for the loss of your husband.
I note in a previous post that you will be 73 years of age in November. I hope that you are claiming your NHS pension.0
