Can I get the NatWest £125 switching offer on a sole account if i have a joint account with them?

Just that really!

I have a NatWest joint account with my husband. I don’t have any Natwest  accounts in my sole name (I used to have one but closed it 2 years ago)

The current NatWest £125 switching offer says you must not have a current account with them to qualify.

Struggling to know if I would qualify or not, if I open a new sole account with them - would they count the joint account and say I’ve already got a current account?

Really would like to know before I go through the hassle of switching, grateful for any advice!

Thankyou

You do have a current account with them. It doesn't matter if it's sole or joint.
  • Thankyou I thought that would be the case - annoying as it means neither me or my husband can do their switching offer, even though we’ve never had a switch bonus from them, as had the joint account many years!

If RBS are doing it, can try with them, a number of us managed to get NatWest, RBS and Ulster bonuses a few years back

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
