Co 0p Legal Service Probate

Trying to sort out probate on my mums estate. Approached CoOp Legal services because of a link on money saving expert .Was quoted £9063.48 with a 5% Money Saving Expert Discount. Very pushy when you ring them. So beware

    unless it is very complicated then do it yourself - can always ask a local solictor for help if you get stuck - no doubt the coop would have had you running round finding all the info anyway

    using a solicitor would charge£240 plus vat an hour. The coop don't won't you doing any of the running around so they can try to justify the £900 bill

    Probate is not that complicated for the vast majority of estates, go over to the deaths, funeral and probate board, you will find plenty of help there if you want do this yourself. You will save yourself a lot of money, and get the estate wound up in half the time.

    It  might be a typo but the post said it was over £9000  !!!
